Chronograph Watch

 

Harry Winston (the watch arm) makes a living on high-end women's watches with a healthy amount of diamonds and quartz movements. Here however they are retaining the diamond part of the equation, but offering women a mechanical timepiece. The Premier Lady Chronograph is of the same design vein as the also new Harry Winston Midnight Chrono Tourbillon, but this women's watch pulls the design aesthetic off much (much) better. The mannerisms of the dial are new to Harry Winston. They actually remind me a lot of Boucheron.

Each watch comes in an 18k gold case that is 39mm wide with diamond set cases and dials. Large diamonds line the bezel and lugs, while diamonds are set around the periphery of the dial, as well as in the chronograph subdials. Probably the most "blinged out" chrono I've seen. While the subdials have their hands in the normal position, the dials are of different sizes for a faux asymmetrical look. The subdials also have mother-of-pearl elements.

Coming in three dial colors (silver, blue, and anthracite), the watch has a total of 317 (4.4 carats) of diamonds all over it. While I am not sure what the movement inside the watch is, it has the same layout as a Swiss ETA 2894 automatic movement - which might be what is inside. A good looking - sort of sporty feeling - lady's watch make ultra lux by all the diamonds.

Recently I got to test my feelings on the all (or mostly) diamond covered watch. I was in no better place to do it... Hong Kong. They don't joke about Asia being the premier place for watch consumption. I challenged myself to not spot something watch-related for a full minute while driving around the city. It never happened. Prince set up a series of extremely decadent fully diamond-studded timepieces from brands such as Blancpain, Breguet, Piaget, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Franck Muller, and more.  

These aren't the watches you see in brand ads, nor the ones they show people like me at the big shows like Baselworld and SIHH. These fully diamond covered creations are either exclusive to special markets, or sometimes even one-of-a-kind luxuries.

Extraordinary Hummingbirds Series watches

While I have mentioned the fantasy art style of Van Cleef & Arpels in the past, their Disney-esque portrayal of nature continues to move me. I want two things. First to have the finances to afford these creations, and second, to have a female who will appreciate the pieces as much as I - to get these watches for. I recently mentioned the new Extraordinary Butterfly watches for 2010, and here are the Lady Arpels Extraordinary Hummingbirds Series watches. Note that there will be five in the collection and pictured are just two of them. Names of the individual pieces will be the Berylline, Ruby-Throated, Violet-Crowned, Blue-Throated and Calliope. Each version is limited to just 8 pieces in this limited edition.

The watches are very high-end. The 38mm wide cases are in platinum inlaid with diamonds around the bezel and lugs, while the dials are a montage of special enameling, a type of stained glass, and a mosaic of gems. Inside the watches is a Caliber 830P mechanical movement. Really stunning, but that is to be expected from the brand.

Diamond-Studded Swiss Watches

It wasn't until I needed to go ring shopping did I really learn to appreciate diamonds. As a guy, I just always assumed diamonds were for women. Sure some men have diamond rings and earrings - but that hardly represents the norm, at least here in the United States. Diamonds are a sure-fire sign of wealth, but they also represent the most basic and arguably unsophisticated form of luxury features - being really shiny. Though it does help their cause that diamonds are inherently rare. What I do however love, are watches. So what happens when you combine these two things?

The "full pave" (or totally diamond covered) watch in the United States is often a simple code for "I have too much money, and perhaps not as much taste." While jealousy might have something to do with those thoughts, it is true that simply covering something normal with diamonds is a less than difficult (albeit expensive) way of adding luxury. That would be ignoring a lot of the really nice diamond covered watches out there. Easy to make fun of and perhaps taboo to wear - the diamond covered luxury watch remains an extremely powerful force that is hard to resist if you can afford one. It is like buying a private island: it might be just too excessive to ever actually justify, but secretly you want one and all the stigma that comes with it. This is akin to walking around with a crown.

Rolex Submariner Champagne Dial Diamonds Replica Watch

Good classic replica Rolex look with just the right tone on the champagne dial and also good looking imitation stones. 

Markers have a good color and gold edges and the hands glow like they should. Date magnifier is placed properly on the scratch-proof crystal and seems to be the right size. Dial markings are well cloned just like on the original. Gold plated bezel looks vintage and has a nice click. Golden crown has the Rolex logo and screws in a little harder in the beginning. Case has a proper size, shape and the weight feels close too. Japanese automatic movement on the inside provides a good time keeping and it’s reliable. Also with these types of movements you have a good life span and not much to worry about. 

To me they are the best price vs quality vs life span movements at this point. Two-tone polished yellow gold plated and brushed stainless steel bracelet has the genuine looks, folding clasp has the Rolex logo and engravings are present on the inside as well. Bracelet is easily adjustable with the screws that hold the links in place just like you’d find on the original. Back case has the Rolex green hologram sticker and logo with a see-through protective layer so it does not fade-out easily. Rolex Daytona Black Leather Band Replica Watch

I know, I know, it’s been a while since I had the opportunity to publish a video review of one of the most ever duplicated, cloned, faked, replicated and you name it Rolex watch. Yes, I’m talking about the Rolex Daytona replica watch. I just wish I could review all of the Daytona replica watches versions out there and I’d happily do it only thing is that it would take me a couple of years to possibly get to the bottom of it – not so sure I’d get there though. Nothing more… that’s a good one. How do I describe this one other that everything is in place? I have to go into the details for that so here it goes. Black dial with all its components: markings, markers, logo, chronographs and hands are really properly cloned. Love the case, it has such a good size, thickness and the polish is just right. You’d have to compare it one on one with the original and only then you might be able to spot on some glare details but other than that this baby is flawless. Getting the the trending part now, the black crocodile leather band looks really good and matches the dial. Folding clasp closes well, it is brushed and polished right and has the engravings on the inside. You know I’m as critic as one can be and will spot out badly cloned details but in this case I find it hard to do that. Good price for such a good looking and well cloned Rolex Daytona, anytime. You can get away with this one 99 times out of 100 only because that 1 time the guy might be a jeweler or a crazy connoisseur that can tell fakes from originals with eyes closed. ’ve been studying this Rolex Submariner blue two-tone replica watch for some time now and after I reviewed megawatch.co I decided to get it from them to see if my guessing is right. Everything is in place, shines just the right way, looks just right and feels just like an original. It would be very hard to spot on unless you take it to a jeweler, as a good jeweler should always know. This is what happens when I do my homework well, follow my gut and secure my purchase before I buy. Here’s a Rolex Daytona replica watch which I shot a while back. For some reason I always get a cash shortage right in between the holidays but I do promise to have some really hot video reviews for you starting next week.

As I said before Daytonas are among the most popular replica watches models of all times. This one in particular is simple, clean and well cloned compared with the original so getting one of these babies feels quite nice. Sporty good all stainless steel looks are always a great wear.Dial looks good and it has literally all the markings, markers, hands and engravings like on the original. Of course that the genuine timepiece will have a better glow but do not underestimate the looks on this one either. Having all the elements in place, a good quality stainless steel and a Japanese movement all in the same watch and for a reasonable price is very good these days. You also have a logo on the folding clasp, links are put together with screws so it’s very convenient to adjust the bracelet as in most cases it’s a must. Back case has the Rolex green sticker with the hologram logo and serial number so this fake watch is well put together from all angles. Replica Rolex Daytona watches come in many color variations and platings so you really have to pay good attention to the quality before you decide to buy. This is a good example of what is worth buying as this watch has a well above average quality. Do not go for cheaper looking ones hoping that they look better in reality then in the pictures because out of my experience I can tell you that that’s not the case.  One of my favorite "check me out and stare at me" complications is still the TriRetrograde movement module by Milus. Utterly pointless, the complication is nevertheless great to watch. It takes the seconds indicator and divides it up into three 20 seconds retrograde dials. Even after is release a few years ago, the Milus Tirion "still has it." Next on the list of variants of the collection is this DLC black model with a lot of carbon fiber.

 

Naked Rolex! Black Out Concept Skeletonized Daytona Watch

 A stripped Rolex, don't you feel naughty gawking at it... While skeletonized dial watches are popular, you don't see too many skeletonized Rolex watches.
