So, on Wednesday, along with fellow Tangerinee Nikki, we headed off to
Dukes to view handbags and spend money. On arrival we were immediately
offered a glass of champagne and escorted to where tables and tables of
handbags were lined up, ready for us to take our pick. Now we do think
ourselves as handbag experts, due to our client TJ Hughes, having a huge
supply of the latest styles, and we knew the latest trends to look out
for were satchels, drawstring, mini bags (think doctors bags) and clutch
handbags – which you can definitely never have too many of – especially
if you are a Sex and The City fan.
The event didn’t let us down - From beaded and sequined bags to a few serious leather numbers - even a vintage Miu Miu priced at £100 (reduced from £1500) - there were bags for every taste and budget. Lucy selected a little silver evening clutch bag, while Nikki picked up one of the serious leather numbers, and it felt good as my old handbags went to a new home and we handed our money over for our new purchases knowing that we’d contributed to making a difference to help women across the region – .The Spice Girls would be proud of this girl power!
